About me
Kristine
Originally from the Czech Republic, I grew up in Switzerland and lived several lives that have led me to become a tattoo artist today.
Specialized in fineline and microrealism, I started with medical and post-operative tattooing as part of breast reconstruction after breast cancer in 2015, which I still practice today in partnership with plastic surgeons.
Having always worked with very fine needles specific to this field, I've gradually developed these tools to deploy them in an even more creative and artistic approach to tattooing, which is why I naturally have a perfect affinity with the fineline style and microrealism today. The name "Antidote" was born from this expertise, initially acquired in restorative tattooing, and from my approach to tattooing, which I see as anchoring/inking.
Philosophy
More than a Tattoo, a Moment, an Experience...
My approach to tattooing is very intuitive and emotional. I perceive it with a lot of symbolism, and it's important for me to understand the story it tells, what it connects to, before inking it.
I think that beyond its aesthetic dimension, tattooing is one of the ways in which we build our self-image, our "self-esteem", that we connect to ourselves, and to our essence. Tattooing allows us to express ourselves, to inscribe symbols that make sense to us, to repair ourselves, to soothe ourselves, and to remind ourselves...
It's important for me to take time for each session, in each stage, without time constraints, so as to be totally in the moment. As the fineline and microrealism styles require to be worked on slowly, detail by detail, I normally only take on one project a day, prioritizing half-day and full-day sessions, so the rates are by the session, not by the hour.
Not being able to respond to every request and having at heart to be the right artist for every project, I don't hesitate to say if I don't think I'm the best fit for a demand and redirect to another artist.
